Global Recession Risk Radar
The risk of a global economic recession beginning over the next two years has risen significantly in recent months. In response to intense interest from our clients, we hosted a ‘Global Recession Risks’ webinar in September. We outlined what could trigger a recession, what the implications for both developed and emerging markets would be and what warning signs we will be keeping an eye out for.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution Is Coming
The ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ is one of the most publicized, but least understood themes for industry. We hosted a webinar on the topic in September, focusing on how the revolution will impact society and disrupt traditional business models. We also explored topics such as which industries are benefitting the most, and the role of government in preparing societies for the changes ahead.

The Belt And Road Rumble On
In a new Belt and Road Special Report published in September, we analysed the rebranding of the initiative over 2019 to place greater focus on sustainability. We also presented our proprietary Belt and Road Scorecard, which uses a variety of macroeconomic, industry and geopolitical data to assess the opportunities and risks facing the Belt and Road in key regions and sectors.
Global Power Sector In Flux
In our quarterly global renewable power report, we presented our overarching views on the sector. This included our expectation for non-hydropower renewable capacity to more than double over the coming decade, with China accounting for nearly half of additions. "It has been almost a decade since the 2010 cycle of redistricting, and the country is still reckoning with the impact."
-- Center for American Progress

Sula -- The Center for American Progress recently released a report on the impacts of partisan gerrymandering. While not surprising, the findings are damning: gerrymandering is effectively disenfranchising millions of Americans.

Redistricting is a civil rights issue. That's why AG Holder and President Obama have taken up the fight against manipulated maps and have asked you to join this grassroots movement to end gerrymandering.

The CAP report found that unfairly drawn congressional districts shifted an average of 59 seats in the House of Representatives during the 2012, 2014, and 2016 elections -- impacting the representation of approximately 42 million Americans.

CAP described the findings in very clear terms: "The inescapable conclusion is that gerrymandering is effectively disenfranchising millions of Americans. This should be considered a critical situation."

Map manipulation attempts to silence the voices of voters -- it's how states like Michigan saw Democrats win the popular vote from 2012 to 2016, yet Republicans held a decisive advantage at every level of government.

All On The Line is working to hold map manipulators accountable. Can we count on you to make a monthly donation to our grassroots organizing program?

All On The Line is the grassroots advocacy campaign supported by the National Redistricting Action Fund.
